Jayga Rayn

Jayga was born in South Africa, raised in England and spent the last ten years plying his trade in China.

As a true third culture kid, having lived on three different continents he brings a unique, international; but undefinable feel to all of his films, mixing youth and subculture with a mainstream touch making films that speak to people of all walks of life.

His career started thirteen years ago in the hyper-competitive environment of London. Whilst studying journalism at the London College of Communication, he scored bylines with iconic publications like i-D, Dazed, MTV and was a section editor cult youth magazine, SUPERSUPER.

Moving to China, he engaged in a pioneering, year long ethnographic research project, in collaboration with Edelman, entitled ‘Words of a Generation’.

Since then he has directed commercial work for some of the world’s biggest brands, working with A-list celebrities like Lu Han, Yang Mi, Wang Jun Kai as well as many athletes and musicians.

His music videos for artists such as Flatbush ZOMBIES and Tyga have been premiered by Complex, Billboard and Noisey as well as being covered by the all major music platforms.

His commercial work and music videos combined have received over 50,000,000 views in the last three years.
